Agreement
Tidehold is provided by Ahmed Khelifi in Germany. By downloading or using Tidehold, you agree to these Terms and Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Tidehold is a wellbeing and training tool. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency monitoring, or a medical device.
Dry training and safety
Breathing exercises and breath holds can cause dizziness, fainting, loss of consciousness, injury, or other adverse effects. Standard breath holds must be performed seated or lying down on dry land in a safe place. Never hyperventilate before a hold.
- Never use Tidehold in water, in a bath, while driving, near traffic, stairs, heights, machinery, or anywhere a brief loss of awareness could cause harm.
- Never force a hold. Stop immediately if you feel dizzy, numb, panicked, painful, confused, unwell, or unsafe.
- The optional apnea-walk mode carries blackout and fall risk and must never be performed alone. Use only short, submaximal holds with an attentive spotter beside you on a flat, open route away from water, traffic, stairs, heights, and obstacles. Stop walking and breathe normally at the first warning sign.
- If you are pregnant or have a heart, lung, neurological, blood-pressure, mental-health, or other medical condition, ask a qualified clinician before practicing.
- Do not rely on Tidehold during an emergency. Contact local emergency services when urgent help is needed.
Tidehold’s timers, cues, reminders, plans, statistics, and safety screens do not replace professional judgment or supervision.
Responsible use
You are responsible for choosing conservative settings, an appropriate environment, suitable supervision, and training that fits your health and experience. A score, streak, personal best, reminder, course target, or comparison must never override comfort or safety.
Free features and Tidehold Pro
Tidehold includes free training and breathing features. Optional Pro access adds advanced courses, tables, customization, trends, exports, and other premium functionality. Exact features and availability may change as Tidehold evolves.
The price, currency, billing period, and any offer shown by Apple before purchase confirmation are the terms that apply to the transaction. Prices may vary by country, taxes, exchange rates, and Apple pricing changes.
Subscriptions and Lifetime access
- Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the displayed price unless canceled. To avoid renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends. Cancellation takes effect after the paid period.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the purchase is confirmed. Apple may charge a renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in Apple Account settings. Deleting Tidehold does not cancel a subscription.
- Lifetime access is a one-time, non-consumable purchase with no recurring charge that unlocks the then-current Tidehold Pro entitlement for the supported lifetime of the app.
- Eligible purchases can be restored from Tidehold using the Apple Account that made them.
Apple processes payments and determines refund eligibility. Purchases are subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and applicable law.
Your local data
Training history, settings, notes, feelings, and other practice data are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for exports and backups. Deleting Tidehold or erasing its data can permanently remove this information from that device.
Your use of Tidehold is also governed by the Tidehold Privacy Policy.
License and intellectual property
Ahmed grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Tidehold on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple’s rules. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, interfere with, misuse, or attempt unauthorized access to Tidehold except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Tidehold’s design, code, text, audio, graphics, and other content are owned by Ahmed Khelifi or used with permission. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
Availability, disclaimers, and liability
Tidehold may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for safety, technical, legal, or product reasons. The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” No particular health, fitness, relaxation, sleep, focus, meditation, or breath-hold result is guaranteed.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ahmed is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use Tidehold. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to the amount paid for Tidehold or Pro access during the twelve months before the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Apple-specific terms
- These Terms are between you and Ahmed Khelifi, not Apple.
- Apple is not responsible for Tidehold or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
- Apple may provide remedies required for failure to conform to an applicable warranty, subject to Apple’s rules and applicable law.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the relevant provisions.
Governing law, changes, and contact
German law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or local-court rights that apply in their country of residence. These Terms may be updated when Tidehold, its business model, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
